THORDON bearings
Water lubricated polymer bearings and bushes
Marine
Water lubricated bearings are the only solution for a considerable reduction of pollution in water ; in seawater avoiding oil leakages from sterntubes, in inland waters for river vessels and internal waterways.
Hydro
Inland water are also subject to pollution from hydroturbines that produce green power polluting the environment most of the times.
New builds and conversions are daily evaluated in our offices to look after the environment as well as maintenance costs and safer manwork.
Pumps and Industry
Thordon elastomer and its capacity to start dry gives a longer life to vertical pumps as long as its lower friction coefficient both dry or wet. Thordon Thorplas replaces greased bronze bushes running dry with a load capacity up to 35Mpa the times.
